Performance analysis of ACO-OFDM NOMA for VLC communication

Visible light communication (VLC) has been seeking much attention in recent years due to its high bandwidth, low cost, and ease of implementation. VLC can be used for illumination as well at the same time. Light emitting diode (LED) acts a transmitter data transmission, photo detector is on receiver side. Intensity Modulation (IM) converts an electrical signal into optical signal, where only real positive signals need transmitted. Optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (O-OFDM) enhance bandwidth limitation LED. Using O-OFDM does not provide massive connectivity multi-user environment. Nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) further expansion user use both time resources but distinguished power domain with successive interference cancellation (SIC) decode each user. Also, Asymmetrically clipped (ACO-OFDM) NOMA get enhanced spectral efficiency. The proposed method was analyzed by considering simulations analytical results LOS NLOS communication.
